Andy Phillips Biography

Andy Phillips has over 15 years of speaking experience at Retreats, Firesides, Summits, Workshops and worship Services. He has spoken to large and small Audiences, including executives, educational leaders, entrepreneurs, youth groups and sports fans.

Raised in Sandy, UT, Andy Phillips has spent his life in the Wasatch Mountains. He was taught to ski when he was 2 years old, by his Father, Greg. Andy began ski racing at age 5 and saw immediate success. He won his first international ski race at the age of 12 during the 2002 Whistler Cup Giant Slalom and was named to the United States Alpine Ski Team in 2006. In 2008, Andy was ranked 2nd in the world (juniors) in the Slalom Event.

Andy made the decision in 2008 to leave ski racing for 2 years to serve as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was called to serve the people of Norway from 2008-2010, where he organized service projects, taught gospel lessons, lead Norwegian and English language classes to non-natives and oversaw the training of 65+ missionaries. Upon returning, Andy ski raced for 2 more years before deciding to focus on family and education.

In 2012, Andy walked onto the University of Utah Football Team and earned a scholarship in 2014. Andy was an All American, All Pac 12 Placekicker and served as a 3-year captain for the University of Utah Football Team, lettering all 4 years. He set multiple placekicking records at Utah and is the all-time leading scorer.

While playing college football, Andy studied Marketing (BA) and Information Systems (BS) and holds a Masters Degree in Information Systems (MSIS) from the University of Utah. Andy signed as a Free Agent with the Chicago Bears in 2017 and competed for the 2017 placekicking job. Andy was released by the Chicago Bears in September 2017 and is currently an NFL Free Agent.

Andy works in Executive Leadership Development and Executive Coaching. Andy brings a unique perspective to leadership development, working primarily with executive leaders and executive leadership teams on developing leadership skills and transforming business culture. Leadership development and experiential learning are his passion and motivation for executing this work. Andy is competitive and seeks to better those around him by pushing himself and others past any assumed boundaries. He heads various initiatives ranging from the design and facilitation of leadership development programs and retreats, to the management of large client projects.

At age 29, Andy lives in Salt Lake City, UT with his wife of 8 years and his 4 children. Their family recently welcomed twins into the world. He is an avid skier, golfer, soccer player and trail runner. Andy is fluent in Norwegian and English with conversational fluency in Swedish, Danish and German.
